Analysis of Safety Technical Specifications for Installation and Use of Construction Hoists

2025-01-22

Based on the "Safety Technical Specifications for Installation, Use, and Dismantling of Construction Hoists" guidelines, I have a clear understanding of the precautions that need to be taken during the installation, use, and dismantling processes of construction hoists on building sites.

Firstly, it is necessary to conduct a safety briefing for the installation staff before the operation of the construction hoist. This ensures that the personnel understand the safety protocols clearly, thereby preventing accidents during the installation process. Moreover, it is crucial that the installation staff sign the briefing document, serving as proof that they have received the safety briefing.

Secondly, after the installation of the construction hoist, it must undergo self-inspection by the installation company and inspection by a qualified testing entity to ensure that the equipment's performance and safety features comply with regulations. Additionally, the user entity should organize acceptance inspections involving leasing and installation companies to ensure the equipment meets operational requirements.

During use, several important points must be observed:

  1. It is prohibited to use fall arrest devices beyond their valid calibration period to ensure effective prevention of falling accidents in emergencies.

  2. The construction hoist must not be used when exceeding the rated load weight or passenger capacity to avoid the safety risks associated with overloading.

  3. When buildings exceed two stories, protective canopies must be erected above the ground passage of the construction hoist. If the building height surpasses 24 meters, double-layer protective canopies are required to provide necessary protection against falling objects from heights.

Regarding maintenance and repair, it is strictly forbidden to perform such activities while the construction hoist is in operation, as this behavior could interfere with the normal functioning of the equipment and increase accident risk.

Lastly, safety must also be considered during the dismantling of construction hoists. Dismantling work should not be carried out at night due to poor visibility which can easily lead to accidents. Furthermore, the dismantling of construction hoists should proceed continuously to minimize potential safety risks associated with prolonged downtime.

In summary, these regulations aim to ensure the safety of the installation, use, and dismantling processes of construction hoists, reducing the occurrence of accidents. Adhering to these rules is of significant importance for ensuring the safety of personnel on construction sites and the smooth progress of construction operations.
